About every other time I bring up a page, it redirects me to a google image search of the page's url. This happens pretty often with advertisements , but is sometimes just out of the blue. What's going on here and how do I fix it? (by the way, I have firefox and use it alot, but its downloading capabilities are far inferior to that of IE).
I got rid of my google toolbar and everything google related on my... thing and it still does it.

you have an ie virus.
Maybe it is SpyWare. Keep your anti-virus solution up to date, and run a full scan weekly.
Keep your anti-spyware solution up to date, and run a full scan every few days. I recommend the free SpyBot Search %26amp; Destroy that you can get from http://www.download.com
Do all of this regularly, and your computer will run better.
Good luck and Happy Computing!
Use IE to download either Firefox or Netscape. That will solve
the problem.
Go ahead, give me a Thumbs Down, but you are incredibly mistaken.
Firefox's downloads are way superior to that of IE, allowing you to download multiple files at once with the option of pausing/resuming them.
Now that that is out of the way, I would stick to Firefox permanently. Flash is not slower on Firefox than it is on IE, because that would be impossible! Firefox and IE BOTH USE THE SAME FLASH PLAYER.
Firefox is more secure, and if you hadn't been using IE, maybe you wouldn't have the problem.
